The 41st Annual Montreux Jazz Festival

Every July the lakeside town of Montreux, Switzerland hosts the famed Montreux Jazz Festival, bringing together an eclectic mix of international musicians for a few weeks of melodic paradise. Switzerland has always been meeting point for people from around the world, and the Festival exemplifies its cosmopolitan flair. The recipes this week incorporate the healthy ingredients of the pristine Swiss countryside, and provide the perfect menu for a night of Jazz. This tart is great to have on hand for either a light lunch or simple dinner. Although the dough takes a few hours to rest, it is pretty easy to put together, and makes enough for two tart shells. It has a great crunch, which is complimented by the flax and sunflower seeds. This dish is inspired by the beautiful hillsides that surround Lac Léman, which are full of gardens and walking trails for tourists and locals to enjoy.
