Mexican Limon-ade (Tita's Agua de Limon)

Try this Mexican version of lemonade next time you have people over for lunch. The limes in Mexico are more acidic, so you might have to play around with the quantities. Although this drink has sugar in it, the amount is far less than found in bottled drinks. The most important thing is that it is served fresh and cold!

1 liter of cold water
4 tablespoonfuls of sugar, or to taste
3 limes

In a pitcher add the sugar to the water.

Stir to dissolve the sugar.

Squeeze the lime juice into the water.

Stir and serve.

4 cucharadas de azucar, o al gusto
3 limones

Se mezcla el agua con el azucar.

Se exprimen los limones y se anade el jugo al agua.

Se revuelve bien.

I'm serving this & Emma's icetea recipe for company today. They should be wonderfully refreshing on a warm April day! I love all these recipes so much!

Hi Jon,
This is something that my grandmother makes all the time for lunch. It is so simple, yet very refreshing! I hope your company likes our recipes. Thanks for following our show!

Hi Emma! My friends loved the Limonade & also Emma's Iced Tea. Everyone thought lime was a wonderful change from Lemonade. They were perfects drinks for a Summery day in April!

That's great Jon. I'm glad they liked it. I'm in Jordan right now and another fun thing they do here is add fresh thyme to black tea- I've only had it with hot tea, but I bet it would be delicious with iced tea too.
